FIRE basketball Rep |

Fire Basketball began with 1 Rep team in 2004-05. From there it expanded to 2 Rep teams in 2005-06, 4 Rep teams in 2006-07, and 6 Rep teams in the 2007-08 season.
The Rep team tryouts are held in September/October of each year. Age categories is determined by player tryout registration and coaching availability. The Rep season starts in the month of October and ends through the months of April to May, depending on the age group.
Rep teams require a greater time commitment and financial commitment from both the individual players and their families. A standard Fire Basketball Rep team will have a 2-practice a week schedule, while playing in approximately 30 scheduled games, which includes 3-5 tournaments. Rep player fees cover the costs of gym time, referee and tournament fees, uniforms, and administrative fees. Player fees can be lowered through company sponsorship and fundraising initiatives. Individual players and their families are responsible for personal traveling expenses and accommodations for games and tournaments.
Fire Basketball is a member club of Ontario Basketball (OBA), the governing body for basketball in the province of Ontario.
